Wildflour Caterers “Becoming a Chef” is a 24 to 26-month long program that trains individuals with intellectual disabilities in the kitchen. They will learn how to prepare a variety of meals from scratch, always under the direct supervision of a chef. Our trainees will also have the opportunity to learn about safe food management and may even become official food managers.
At Wildflour, we believe in empowering people with disabilities to help them achieve independence and integration in their communities.
For a period of 10 consecutive days, each person will learn how to make one meal from scratch. After each person in the program has learned that same dish, a new item will be introduced.
Jonathan is the first employee in the program. He prepared 4 different types of soup in his first 10 days and excelled!
